Brand24, an online media monitoring company, recently published an infographic on the state of Indonesia’s social media, which sheds some interesting findings by Socialbakers and Mediabistro.
Social Media is a buzzword that has been made popular with social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and many more. While the buzzword has been around for a while, it is still here to stay and companies will need to leverage these social media channels as an important means to reach out to, and engage, both new and existing customers.
Here are some key findings:
- There are more than 11 million Facebook users in Jakarta.
- The most popular indonesian fan page is Opera Van Java, with 7.6 million fans.
- There are 29 million Indonesian users on Twitter, and Jakartian Twitter users post 2.4% of the 10.6 billion tweets worldwide.
- There are 1.3 million LinkedIn users from Indonesia.
